Salary Guide (2025)
Nanny Salary Expectations
Nanny salaries in the UK vary based on experience, role type, and job responsibilities. Below is a general guide to typical salaries. Please note, actual salaries may vary depending on individual circumstances and specific job requirements.
Factors such as whether the position is live-in or live-out, the number of children, and additional duties (e.g., housekeeping, tutoring, or travel) can all influence pay.
On average, nannies can expect to earn between £13 – £18 per hour for live-out roles, while live-in nannies typically receive a competitive salary plus accommodation and meals. Specialist roles, such as night nannies or SEN nannies, often command higher rates due to their expertise.
